Meet GANGA — our new design. Named for the river that gave Varanasi its soul, GANGA opens the BANARAS series with the same timeless, unhurried grace. The onion pink Banarasi and Bombay Silk fusion lehenga flows with quiet confidence — 10 metres of flare that opens into a full circle, anchored at the hem by a heritage Banarasi patchwork border in teal and multicolour blocks. Above it, a gold sequin mirror strip catches every light. Below it, teal and maroon inner border layers complete the hem story. Teal tassel knots at the waist sign the piece.

The blouse carries the craft further. Multicolour mirror butis scatter across the onion pink surface — teal, orange, gold, green — surrounding a teal zigzag neckline border with mirror trim that frames the neckline precisely. Full sleeves end in Banarasi patchwork cuffs, carrying the border language from hem to wrist. Backless, tied with a delicate pink cord. The heavy sequin dupatta completes GANGA — gold diagonal sequin lines running edge to edge, the Banarasi patchwork border carrying the same teal and multicolour language, gold lace trim finishing every edge.

At Mayne Creation, Bela Tewar designed the BANARAS series as a tribute to India’s most storied fabric tradition — three colour stories, one unified heritage language. GANGA is the first chapter. The dawn. The river at sunrise. Wear it to Navratri, a wedding function, a sangeet — and let GANGA do what it was designed to do.

Styling Tips — GANGA

💃 Overall Styling Rule GANGA is rich in craft and colour — the border, the blouse, and the dupatta all carry detail. Keep your accessories balanced and let the outfit lead.

💍 Jewellery Styling

  • Skip heavy necklaces — the mirror buti blouse and teal neckline border are jewellery enough
  • Go for statement jhumkas or chandbalis in gold or antique finish
  • Add gold bangles or a mix of teal and gold bangles for a coordinated wrist
  • Optional: small gold or kundan maang tikka for wedding functions

💇 Hair Styling

  • Sleek bun → keeps the backless blouse fully visible from behind
  • Soft open waves → adds movement that matches the 10-metre flare energy
  • Braided updo with floral pins → perfect traditional look for Navratri nights

💄 Makeup Styling

  • Keep base dewy and glowing — onion pink calls for warmth not matte
  • Eyes: warm copper or bronze shimmer, kohl lined
  • Lip shades: deep rose / berry pink / warm coral — stay warm-toned

🧣 Dupatta Styling

  • Both shoulders open drape → gold diagonal sequins visible from every angle
  • One-side drape → modern silhouette for functions, shows blouse embroidery
  • Hold both ends wide during garba → the Banarasi patchwork border frames every spin
