RANGOLI is named for the most joyful tradition of Indian festivity — the art of placing colour deliberately, intentionally, until the floor becomes something worth looking at. This outfit does the same thing, except you wear it. Six panels of Bombay Silk — bottle green, teal, pink, maroon, blue, and mustard — are constructed with precision and separated by gold gota strips that run clean across the hem. When RANGOLI spins, every panel lands in sequence like a brushstroke. The full circle it creates is the rangoli.

The mustard corset blouse is RANGOLI’s most distinctive element. Vertical stripe sequin work covers the entire structured bustier — multicolour stripes in green, red, orange and white on mustard, finished with thick shoulder straps that give a fashion-forward silhouette no traditional choli achieves. It is bold without being loud. The mustard Bombay Silk dupatta is intentionally minimal — light sequin work and a gold border — because RANGOLI needs room to breathe. The tassel knots at the waist add the final festive detail.

At Mayne Creation, Bela Tewar designs every piece around a belief that festival wear should feel like a celebration before the celebration starts. RANGOLI is that belief in its most colourful form — an outfit that carries the joy of Navratri in every panel, every stripe, every spin.

💃 Styling Tips — RANGOLI

RANGOLI is already a colour statement. Keep styling balanced — let the outfit lead, everything else follows.

💍 Jewellery Styling

  • Skip heavy necklaces — the corset blouse and multicolour panels are jewellery enough
  • Go for statement earrings — oxidised jhumkas or chandbalis work best
  • Add oxidised bangles or stacked multicolour bangles for a festive wrist
  • Optional: small oxidised maang tikka for Navratri nights

💇 Hair Styling

  • Sleek bun → keeps the corset straps and neckline fully visible
  • Soft open curls → adds volume and movement that matches the flare energy
  • Half-up with floral pins → perfect for Navratri garba nights

💄 Makeup Styling

  • Keep base dewy and glowing — no heavy matte
  • Bold eyes — kohl lined with a touch of gold or copper shimmer
  • Lip shades: bright coral / cherry red / hot pink — one bold colour, nothing nude

🧣 Dupatta Styling

  • Hold both ends wide during garba — the gold border frames your arms beautifully
  • One-side shoulder drape for a modern function look
  • Belt it over the dupatta at the waist for a trendy Indo-western vibe
